Greg Sarris, chairman of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, is a fascinating speaker. Sarris will read from his new book, How a Mountain Was Made.
In How a Mountain Was Made the creation stories of the Southern Pomo and Coast Miwok peoples come alive for settler ears to hear, and for many of us perhaps, for the first time. Sarris will talk about the importance of these creation stories for those of us dwelling in Sonoma County. We're co-sponsoring this event. Come join us! Share it on Facebook! I'm not finding anywhere to reserve tickets/seats/space for Greg Sarris on Friday. I'm bringing a man in a wheelchair, so I certainly hope it's an accessible venue. Could someone please let me know that we will for sure be able to get a place? Thanks!

The event does not require a reservation. But it's at the Glaser Center and should have plenty of room. I've never seen it completely filled.
